BLOGGER'S WORLD: My Birthday Weekend/Birthday #TBT

Hello Ladies/Gents
Hmmmm... where do I start from because this whole experience was elating.

August, the month my beloved mother birthed me into this wonderful world as her little sunshine and glory.
On the 28 of August 199*(will keep y'all guessing...lol) it was all joy for the house old of the Okparaveros as the voice of an innocent child cried out for the warmth of her mother in her bosom.

I have had numerous celebration of my birthday but this one tops the list so far.
So, on August the 26, I took an adventure with a very good friend of my, who happens to be my roommate, to an unknown destination called, wait for it..................Las Vegas a.k.a "The Sin City."

 

 

I kid you not, that nickname sounds about right for such a place because I when, saw, and it got confirmed. Lol
Like the saying goes, "What happens in Vegas Stays in Vegas."

Indeed, I was ready to Kick start my birthday with a fab weekend in such a beautiful place.
We got to Vegas Friday the 26th at about 11pm after being delayed in Dallas for almost an hour and there was a little turbulence in the air. Yeah, I know turbulence, I wasn't scared but guess who was being a big baby about it, my roommate. Lol... that gave me a big laugh during the flight. 

Anyway, fast forward to when we arrived Las Vegas. The airport is super big and guess what, we got lost several times but trust Nigerian a.k.a Naija babes, we found our way.  Lol

We had a shuttle on standby to take us to our hotel which was about 10 minutes or so from the airport. 

Our hotel was at the Monte Carlo Resort and Casino. It's super big with a lot of amenities and things to do, like the casino, shops, spa, gym, and nice restaurant. 

We checked in about midnight and got settled few minutes after 12am. It's Vegas and as you know it, the city don't sleep. Immediately after settling, I motioned for the shower and bam, I was sleeping. Lol... Sorry to burst y'all bubbles, didn't party that night because I was too tired. 

Least I forget, did I tell y'all about the view? We got the fourth floor but the view wasn't encouraging until we upgraded to the 21st floor. The view was just super. It was directly facing the Vegas strip. Looking at it all through my stay, I am glad the change was made.lol

The next morning which was Saturday the 27th, I woke up feeling reverberated. Straight up after shower, I went for breakfast down stairs.... wait a minute, did I mention we were treated to buffets. Trust me, I headed straight to where the food where sitting. Mehnnn.... we were overwhelmed by the food. We had so many choices to make. They all looked good but was skeptical if it was going to be tasty. Don't blame me, I have been to some fancy restaurant were their food were just not good... but the one at the Monte Carlo was muah...a.k.a really good.

Later that afternoon, we had a pool party to attend and it was at Drais Beach Club. Didn't know what to except because I went there in good fate of a friend, who told me it was the best pool party there is in Vegas. 

Arrived there at about 2pm. We had to go through security and got into an elevator in order to get to the pool. First glance at the venue, I was totally drawn in into the fun. The music was blasting through the big speakers and the crowd were wilding away. Lol

I couldn't wait to join the party as I rushed to the ladies (restroom) to change to my swimsuit.

We joined the party shortly and before you know it the guys where drooling all over us. Of course, it's Vegas what do you expect.  Lol

In all, the pool party was indeed fun and probably the best I have attended. Don't know if it's the best Vegas got but one thing for sure, my friend wasn't lying. Lol

We left the pool party at about 6pm to the hotel for dinner and it was a buffet. Food again was really good with a lot to choose from. Lol

After dinner, we went back to our room. At this point,  my friend was ready to call it a night as she was super exhausted from the pool party. For me, I was ready to get my party shoes on for round two but couldn't because I didn't want to go alone. She was a party pooper for that night. 

We decided to sleep in as I informed my snap chat fams. Of course, I was getting blasted by them about going to bed that early in Vegas. Lol... I just had no choice but to go to bed. 

And then it came, August the 28, the day of my birthday. Thanks to my roomie, I woke up to some ass whooping by her. Lol

                                                                        

It was a day the Lord had made. I was born that faithful day in the year 199*. Lol
We had the day planned/lined up with fun things to do.
Not to waste time getting the day started, we headed to breakfast downstairs at the hotel.
Came back up and it was time for sight seeing in Vegas. We took a walk to the Stripe. Went to The ParkHershey World, Coca-Cola world, Gucci World, and we just enjoyed our surrounding and the diversity of people around us.

Oh how... I love me some Coke

By the way, did I mentioned we gambled a bit? Yes, we did. Lol... we was set to walk out with a million dollars but we ended up walking out with 90cents. Haha... Don't laugh so hard because that was my first time gambling. 

After walking for a few hours, we decided to head back to the hotel to get some rest before my birthday dinner at 8pm.

My birthday dinner was held at Andre's, a French restaurant own by a celebrity Chef, Andre, at the Monte Carlo Resort and Casino. Arrived there on time of course, I ordered me some salmon which almost cost a arm and leg. Lol

 Ate my food and my cake was brought out immediately after. It was a beautiful cake and it was heaven. It just melts in one's mouth...hmmm... yum yum....lol

After dinner, it was time to take it to the next level. Lol... Yeah, you guessed right. It was time to put on my dancing shoes and this time, my friend was wide away and was ready to party too.

Hakkasan at the MGM was the spot to be Sunday night in Las Vegas.lol. We quickly changed to our party clothes and within 10 minutes, we where out the door. My roommate teased, saying, "that was the fastest clothes change in history." Lol

I did agree with her because we where in a hurry to go due to the fact we were in the guest list.
We arrived right on time at the club. At this time, it was almost 11pm.

People were gradually coming in. In a blink, the club was full to maximum capacity. At this time I was ready to get loose.
Since it was my birthday, it was right I take a shot because normally, I don't drink but I just had to take one for the moment.

At this time, I was ready to hit the dance floor and dance my a** off. This is because the dance floor is where gets me drunk.

                                                                                     

Although the music played at the club was mostly instrumental,  I felt and enjoyed every moment. You should have seen me dancing like a White girl (no offense, I got love for my white ladies). Lol... Made friends on the dance floor.

I swear, the club was lit and really fun with lights and all.

                                                                                   

It was about 1:30am and sadly,  it was time to say goodnight to the club because we had a 6am flight but our shuttle had to pick us up at 4am.

At this point,  we where turnt and full of life, so we decided to enjoy the night life in Vegas one last time by walking back to our hotel. Funny enough, it wasn't far away.

On our way back, we got a glimpse of the sin in the Sin City. Lol

It was out in the open, make out session with a guy and two girls. Kissing and squeezing each other. People just passed by, stared, video, and laughed.

What made it even interesting was, when we passed by because we missed our way, there was a second guy smooching one of the girl. And a third guy videoing who later joined the action. At this point, I was astonished and was like, wow... Sin City indeed. Lol

Finally,  we got to our hotel filling satisfied of the evening and the whole weekend as it gradually came to an end. We immediately changed, took one last shower at the hotel, and we were ready to go catch our flight.

All in all, this year's birthday was the best celebrated in my adulthood. Vegas, it was real and I enjoyed every bit of you.
