FASHION FRIDAY: Black on Black on Black

Hello Kings and Queens,

Since fall is fast approaching, it's time to switch up the looks to fit the season.

Today we're going all semi turtle-neck and long sleeves to help us keep warm because with fall comes a cool front.

This shoot was done in the downtown area of Oklahoma City on a cool windy evening. With fall comes with falling orange leaves and long and cozy clothing. It is essential to look the part.

I am wearing a black dress from Papaya and shoes from Justfab.com.

Not much of a purse person and hence, pretty much no purses in most of my posts.lol

FASHION FRIDAY + Reminisce Photography: Biding Summer, Baring Nude

Hello Lovelies,
Summer is winding up so fast but we got a word or two before it goes finally until next year.
Oh sweet summer 2016, it was fun while you lasted but it is sad to see you go. lol
Anyway, lets hop into today's style which is all about nudity... oops... meant nude. lol

This is a highly sophisticated look especially for the grown and sexy. Flash that back on a dinner date with Bae or cause a stare at a club. One more thing Ladies, this could be the only night you could ditch those bras...oops...#wink
This look makes it all possible.

All in all Baby, you can never go wrong slipping on this dress for an adventurous night out in town.

Shot in the streets of Downtown Dallas and one of the best hotels in the Downtown Area, The Adolphus Hotel. This look just screams class. #smiles

Thanks to Reminisce Photography for the collaboration. As you can see, his work speaks for itself.

Today, I am wearing a Nude Bodycon dress from Go Jane, Shoes from JustFab, and Jewelries from Forever 21.

Fashion Friday+Reminisce Photography: Engagement Shoot/Wedding Guest/Dinner Outfit Idea

Some people find it difficult to style themselves when it comes to an elaborate event like weddings or photo shoot such as, engagement etc.
No worries, sometimes it is hard to pull off such styling details because of its technicality. Yes, I said, technicality. Styling involves mental, physical, and technical know-how. From picking up the outfit which deals with the mental state of mind. To carrying the outfit to its destination which involves physical muscles for carriage. Finally, putting together the entire package like knowing the right shoes, jewelries, makeup, and hair to go with it which is the technical aspect of it that determine the end product of the entire look.
There you have it, a little tip about styling.
Today's outfit is solely an idea for an engagement shoot or as a wedding guest.
In any of these events, it is essential to look your best and glamorous because sometimes, this events are once in a life time deal especially an engagement shoot.

This dress I got from New York dress online and it was bought specifically for a pageant I did 2 years ago. Since then, it's been in my closest. Decided to fetch it out for today's Fashion Friday.

When I got this dress, it was plain as a slate. Thought to myself, how can I make it elegant and eye catching?
Quickly, a thought of bling flashed my mind.
The next day, I went to the store, bought some rhinestone and headed to a designer who helped in installing every pieces.

As you can see, it turned out great and exquisite.
For this look, you don't need too many jewelry. Reasoning being that, you don't want to take the attention off it.
Since its a turtleneck dress, a neck piece isn't needed.
Paired with a silver dangling pairs of earrings. You sort of need that length especially if you're rocking a short cut Natural hair like my.
For the shoes,  you have to go with a small heeled shoe like 2 to 3 inch. Because, we want that flare of the dress to be paramount because in it lies the beauty of it all.
On my feet is a black and blue shot I got from Kohl's a year ago. In the color wheel, all three colors go perfectly well together.
Thanks to Reminisce Photography for an amazing job with the photos.
Special thanks to the Westin Hotel in Dallas for allowing me to use their restaurant for this shoot.
Lastly, thanks to my friend Sartaj and Nonso for their assistance.

FASHION FRIDAY: It's all in the Trad

Hello Lovelies,

Traditions are something we preserve because they are part of our roots. Now, the question is how do you preserve your tradition?
Some people preserve theirs by music, food, characters, etc.
One way to preserve one's culture/tradition is by the clothes we wear which makes it the inspiration behind this look.

I said to my self this morning, show your readers and viewers something different and wala...

This dress was crafted delicately and was bought for me with love. This was one of my last year's birthday gift from a friend. Told him, I always wanted one and there it was on my birthday as a gift from him.

The flower looking design is as a result of fine embroidery. Mixed with yellow/gold and red is just an example of perfection. Decided to go with a black and gold clutch and shoe. For jewelry, gold necklace with black and gold earring to go with the dress. It feels like a black and gold party. lol.

While the hand bead and glasses was a last minute add on, I kind of love the Red coral bead touch to the look, it is a bead meant for titled local Chiefs in my country, Nigeria, I got it from a friend. Same with the glasses.
