Looking for what to do this weekend?
Look no further because of the movies being released this week. One that caught my attention is Selma. A movie that focuses on the struggle and fight of the African American races in the United States to freedom and empowerment. This movie also shows the life of an esteemed leader Dr. Martin Luther King Jr on how he took his Black race through emancipation in the civil rights era. The memorable part of this movie is the historic Match to Lincoln Memorial, Washington D.C and the speech that was delivered by him and still lives on the lips of everyone who knows the meaning of freedom, "I Have A Dream."
The casts of the movies bare exceptional characters and they did the movie justice with thier performance and acting skills with likes of Oprah Winfrey and David Oyelowo. With David Oyelowo, who had to fit in the Shoes Of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr's character and evidently, it's not an easy one especially when you're Nigerian With A British accent.
So far, the previews and the trailer have been good and I smell a lot of Award nominations for the movie and it's cast, which it's already getting with four Golden Globe nominations and New York Times raving about it as one of the best movie. Movie is going to be out Friday the 9th of January, 2015.
